Proposition for Continued Progress

This proposition is intended to follow the material presented in the history of the genre section.

This page begins with a case for entertainment media to affect ethical good. This case presents the ability of the superhero genre to be a positive force on American society. With the understanding that superhero media can have such an effect, the necessity to present superhero fiction that will positively shape American society becomes apparent. This website recognizes representation of marginalized groups and diversity within superhero narratives as indicative that those narratives will be a positive influence.

The argument continues by recognizing that, just as the greater superhero genre affects change on the public, independent superhero fiction has the ability to affect change on the superhero genre. The ability of independent projects to affect the greater genre is important to establish, as it leads to the conclusion of this project.

The project and the website concludes by focusing on the value of Worm as a viable independent superhero narrative worthy of support. In this section, Worm is highlighted through the analysis of some of the tests and metrics used to review Black Panther in a previous section.
