Moore Hall Spider

Eco-Spider Challenge Essay

After the fall project in the Dining Hall, that demonstrated how wasteful Richmond students are, the residents of Moore Hall decided to create a spider that reflected our new-found commitment to the environment.  We used recyclables found in Moore Hall that reflected our love for not only Moore Hall, but also University of Richmond.  Rather than depicting a typical spider, we instead wanted to show that the Richmond Spider is more than just a mascot, but it is a sense of pride in each one of the Richmond students.  Thus, our eco-spider is a Richmond Spider, the Spider within each one of us.  Everyone wants a little Moore love…including the environment!
