Eco-Spider Challenge Essay

We hope that our creation, Webster the Eco-Spider, will not only promote recycling, but will encourage environmental awareness as well.  The primary materials we used to build Webster, which are all recyclable, include plastic water bottles, wire, a water jug, a light bulb, and pages of a dictionary. Even his glasses, which are made out of cardboard, are recyclable. Webster’s glass hat is part of an old ceiling light from one of the lodges. Lastly, the light bulb attached on top of his head represents the brilliance behind recycling, and how much of a positive impact it can have on the environment. Recycling is one idea that surely should never be forgotten! It takes little effort to simply toss items like these in the nearest recycling bin, which are conveniently located in abundance all around campus. Even the most unusual things may be recycled, so always think before you make the decision to throw something in the trash.
