Eco-Spider Challenge Essay

Alpha Chi Omega presents our spider to the school,
Alpha Chi’s all know that recycling is cool!
We made our Richmond mascot out of recyclables we took,
We hung it in the Commons for everyone to look.

Campus is going green, and idea that is fantastic.
We made our spider’s body out of bottles that are plastic.
We filled the bottles with newspapers of green,
Inspired by the environmental news stories we’ve seen.

Our spider’s mobile limbs are made of crushed Coke cans,
On his eight legs, he confidently stands.
His legs are strung together with hot glue and some wire,
Even Spidey knows the climate crisis is dire.

Suction cups attach him to the window where he rests,
Our spider really shows why recycling is best.
We hope we made it clear what this spider represents,
Alpha Chi Omega is proud to welcome Richmond’s new President!
