Accessibility Maps of Campus Now Available

New campus maps that highlight our accessibile buildings and routes are now available for the campus community and visitors with mobility challenges. Navigating our campus without encountering stairs, curbs, or steep slopes, used to be a challenge. This new map highlights the accessible pathways, doorways, and parking spaces that will enable people in motorized scooters or wheelchairs to get where they need to go.

This project came about from the dynamic partnership of Common Ground, Prof. Kim Klinker of Geography and three of her GIS classes, and the departments of Facilities and Communications. Together they collected the data, double and triple-checked their facts, and turned the map into the beautiful and effective tool it is today. Copies are available at many offices around campus, and departments can purchase more through Printing Services.  Haven’t see one yet? Stop by Common Ground and check it out.
