Sophomore and junior Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Engineering and Earth Science majors are eligible for funding to work with PhD students in Germany on research. NO KNOWLEDGE OF GERMAN LANGUAGE IS REQUIRED! Students are provided 650 Euros per month for up to 3 months. Some other benefits are provided, such as assistance finding housing and health insurance.

Interested students should register online at the link provided above between December 7, 2009 and January 31, 2010. Registration will enable them to access the internship offers submitted by the German PhD students. They may apply for up to three projects. To complete the application, they will need to send in the following documents:
- a print-out of your completed application form (available online after registration)
- full curriculum vitae/résumé
- up-to-date official university/college transcript(s)
- as a supplement to this transcript, a list of courses you will have completed by the time the internship begins
- a letter of reference from a senior academic in your field of study
- for each internship offer you choose, a cover letter in which you state your motivation to apply for this particular project (addressed to the PhD student)
