Sonoma County, CA wants you!

Have you ever dreamed of living in the heart of California’s wine country? Each year, the Sonoma County Economic Development Board offers six one-year paid internships in Policy and Program Development. The focus areas for the internships include: Tourism, Green Business, Workforce and Youth Development, Business Environmental Alliance, and Small Business Wellness.

Students with backgrounds in economics, political science, public policy, or liberal arts whohave research and report experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree by the start of the position.

This year, the program will run from July 15, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Interns will earn approximately $40,000 for the year. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 9, 2009 at 5 p.m.

D.C. MetroLink on Friday, Feb. 27 is the place for you to be!

MetroLink is a program that provides students from the College of William & Mary, University of Richmond, Swarthmore College and Yale University the opportunity to interview with employers from Washington, D.C. Industry areas include public policy, think tanks, non-profit organizations, and media. This program is open to juniors and seniors only. Students must pre-apply for interviews, and only students selected for an interview attend the event.

The deadline to apply is Monday, Feb. 9, 2009.
