Friends,

The holidays are upon us. I hope you find yourself surrounded by family and good friends this holiday season.

If you live in or near the city of Richmond, you probably know that the majority of our lectures and special programs are open to the public. However, we’ve recently begun taping a number of our guest lectures and programs and uploading them to the University of Richmond’s YouTube channel. Now those of you who live far from Richmond will be able to take advantage of some of the unique programming we offer throughout the year.

I hope you enjoy reading about the amazing students, faculty and alumni who make up the School of Arts & Sciences. I look forward to sharing more of their stories with you in 2009. Until then, have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year.

Best,

Andy Newcomb
Dean, School of Arts & Sciences
