Life as a Tax Intern
by Ryan Hoyes
The following podcast outlines my experience as a tax intern with Roseline Financial. I discuss the firm’s business and my duties as an intern for the past seven weeks. Hopefully this podcast will provide you with an interesting look at life as a tax intern in a small accounting firm.

Ryan Hoyes’s Podcast on Life as a Tax Intern was an interesting look at a specific accounting career path that many students will consider taking. The Podcast was entertaining in the delivery and imagery and informative in describing the perks and difficulties associated with his tax accounting internship. Some problems were images that needed to be resized to fit the Podcast screen, and a few minor editing problems in the narration.

Mr. Hoye’s Podcast on his experience working for the Roseline group was very cogent. Many of the accounting students in Cost 305 are preparing for internships this summer and don’t fully know what to expect. Mr. Hoyes does a great job of clearing away some of the uncertainty that many students face about this process and he does so in a creative and funny way. His honesty in describing what he does at work, for instance looking at how much the clients make so that he can consider their careers in his own career path, was not only very sincere but, hilarious. His application of working skills to other avenues of student life, such as interviewing and time management, was helpful to see the big pictue in the benefits of interning. The only thing he could have done a better job on would be his enunciation, but overall it was an excellent Podcast.
